Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. To begin the application process, create your volunteer profile by clicking here. Once you have completed your profile, carefully read through our available volunteer positions, then submit an application through the button on top of your screen (only visible once logged in)

Next Steps:

If selected, we will contact you to set up an in-person interview with the Volunteer Programs and Internships Office. Second round interviews will be determined following initial interviews and will be led by department supervisors. 

Due to the high volume of applications, it may take up to three weeks for us to respond to inquiries. We appreciate your patience in waiting for our response!

Important Things to Know: 

  • Most positions require a consistent weekly commimtent of 8am-6pm for six months.

  • There is a waitlist for weekend positions.

  • All applications will be kept on file for three months.

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old to work hands-on with the animals.

  • Applicants who are at least 16 but not yet 18 years old are eligible to participate in our Visitor Education Volunteer program.
