Opportunity Details

One Boston Day

Mayor Walsh announced a new annual Boston tradition in 2015 as an opportunity to recognize the resiliency, generosity, and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the tragedy that occurred when two bombs disrupted the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.

The Martin Richard Foundation hosts a large-scale cleanup day throughout Boston in recognition of this local day of service. This year, the Service Corps will be leading a cleanup near Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester. Family, friends, and public volunteers are welcome.
