Voluntern Event Support
Voluntern is the Aquarium Office of Volunteer Programs and Internship's annual party to celebrate the fantastic work completed by all of our amazing volunteers and interns. It's the biggest party of the year, and we need your help to make it happen! Event support volunteers are needed for a few different tasks: 4:30-6pm: Setting up center-pieces; registration and check-in of guests; handing out awards and gifts during the ceremony; setting up and managing raffle table. 5:30-6:00pm: Setting up Aquarium Lobby with raffle and prize tables; registration of guests; managing 'portable project' table. 6-7pm: Some volunteers needed to hand out awards during ceremony; moving materials from IMAX to Aquarium Lobby. 7pm-11pm: Setting up and managing raffle and prize tables; registration of late guests; handing out various rewards to guests, such as pins and memberships.
Dinner and snacks will be provided, and there will be plenty of time to enjoy the party during your time here! Interested in helping, but unsure if you can make the whole shift? Send us an e-mail and we will work out a schedule with you! A training for this event will be held via zoom on September 28th, 2023 from 5:30-6:30pm. This training will orient you to the layout of the event and tasking so you can be prepared for the evening. Please let us know in advance if you cannot attend the training so we can schedule everyone appropriately.
